Harris Boys Academy Greenwich
The Department for Education has approved Harris Boys Academy Greenwich secondary school.
We will be working with the ESFA and the London Borough of Greenwich to agree a site for the school, at which point the opening date will be confirmed.
Working with the Royal Borough of Greenwich, and building on the success of Harris Academy Greenwich, this will be a secondary academy for boys. Greenwich predicts that an additional 210 places will be needed in the borough by 2021. The new school will provide 180 of these.
Harris Academy Greenwich is rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and receives around seven applications per place available.
With a separate free school for girls opening in September 2018, the new Harris secondary will help to ensure a balance of places for boys and girls in the borough.

We will run a formal consultation once the site is agreed and will invite parents to help us plan and develop the school.
