Seven in a row - Ofsted rates seven newly inspected Harris academies 'outstanding'
Ofsted has given the highest award of ‘outstanding’ to seven newly inspected Harris Federation academies. These include five primaries, one secondary and one ‘all-through’ academy.
Harris Academy Beckenham (secondary)
Harris Academy Tottenham (all-through)
Sir Dan Moynihan, Chief Executive of the Harris Federation, said:
“It’s great to see the hard work and dedication of our leaders, staff, students and governors being recognised by Ofsted. Seven ‘outstanding’ ratings in a row is a huge achievement and it shows what can be achieved with a culture of continuous improvement and by sharing what works.
“Whatever their starting point, students receive an excellent education in happy, successful and unique schools within the Federation. The comments made by Ofsted inspectors about the quality of teaching and learning in our academies and the impeccable behaviour of our students are a real cause for celebration.
“With four new schools having joined the Federation this September, we will continue to strive for the highest possible standards to benefit children and young people across the capital.”
All inspected Harris academies have been rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, with the majority rated ‘outstanding’. Information about the educational performance of all Harris primary and secondary academies is available here.
