Hahp2The latest DFE performance tables show that Harris Federation primary academies have had another exceptionally strong year

77% of primary students across the Harris Federation met the expected standard in Key Stage 2 in reading, writing and mathematics combined. This is compared to the national figure of 61% (+16%)

The Harris Federation is the number 1 multi-academy trust for pupil progress in mathematics.

Progress is measured from the attainment achieved in Key Stage 2 against the attainment of the school in Key Stage 1

  • Number 1 MAT in the country for Progress in Maths

  • Number 1 MAT in the country for Progress in Maths for Disadvantaged Students

  • Number 3 MAT in the country for Progress in Writing

  • Number 1 MAT in the country for Progress in Writing for Disadvantaged Students

  • Number 3 MAT in the country for Progress in Reading

  • Number 4 MAT in the country for Progress in Reading for Disadvantaged Students

The Harris Federation is the most successful multi-academy trust for pupil progress in writing and maths for disadvantaged students nationally.

Progress of disadvantaged students at  Harris Federation primary academies in reading is +2.5. This compares to -0.7 nationally (+3.2 )

Progress of disadvantaged students at Harris Federation primary academies in writing is +3.6. This compares to -0.4 nationally (+4.0)

Progress of disadvantaged students at  Harris Federation primary academies in maths is +3.8. This compares to -0.6 nationally (+4.4 )

Progress is measured from the achievements of students between Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Each student is assigned a target in reading, writing and maths based upon their attainment in Key Stage 1. Progress is then measured by calculating each pupils score in each of the 3 subjects in relation to that target. The schools progress score is the average across all students in that cohort.

70% of all disadvantaged students at Harris Federation primary academies met the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths. This result compares very favourably to the national score of 48% (+22% )

Harris Federation primary academies are in the top 25% of all schools for progress in reading writing and maths.
