‘Harris in Conversation’ podcast features fantastic range of guests

We are so pleased to be continuing our brilliant ‘Harris in Conversation’ podcast, hosted by our English consultants.

The podcast aims to bring stimulating and topical conversations about teaching and learning to the listener, whether they are a school teacher or simply an education enthusiast.

Each episode features an interview with an exciting guest, ranging from important figures in the world of education to literature and beyond.

Previous guests have included the poet and musician Benjamin Zephaniah, founder and director of ResearchED Tom Bennett, as well as literary critic and theorist Robert Eaglestone.

In the most recent episode, host of the award-winning ‘Women and Shakespeare’ podcast, Dr Varsha Panjwani, spoke about how diversifying traditional readings of Shakespeare can enrich our understanding of his texts. In Dr Panjwani’s words, “Shakespeare needs diversity. If there are no relevant and myriad ways of looking at Shakespeare then it will just become a museum-piece.”

The result was a fascinating and eye-opening discussion which allowed us to approach Shakespeare’s work with an entirely fresh perspective.

An array of guests is lined up for the new year. The podcasts are available to all, so do have a listen and share with family and friends.
