Harris academies donate goggles to local GPs and hospice
Four Harris academies have donated a thousand pairs of goggles to local healthcare professionals on the frontline of fighting COVID-19.
The goggles are now being used by GP practices across Sutton (having been donated to the Sutton Primary Care Networks) and by St Raphael’s Hospice, which is supporting the NHS by offering beds as well as continuing to offer palliative care to patients across Sutton and Merton.
The academies are Harris Academy Morden, Harris Academy Purley, Harris Academy South Norwood and Harris Invictus Academy.
Mr Lee Mallin, Assistant Director of the Harris Federation and responsible for coordinating this effort, said:
“Our schools were delighted to play our small part and donate these much needed protective goGgles. We very much hope they will help to keep local doctors and nurses safe.”
