‘A School Built on Ethos’: Principal James Handscombe publishes new book about Harris Westminster Sixth Form

James Handscombe, founding principal of Harris Westminster Sixth Form has published a new book, A School Built on Ethos: Ideas, assemblies and hard-won wisdom, based on his experience of setting up and leading the Sixth Form.

Harris Westminster Sixth Form was opened in 2014 as a pioneering partnership between the Harris Federation and Westminster School. It has had continued success enabling bright but disadvantaged children to fulfil their potential. Its students regularly win places at the most competitive universities in the UK and around the world, with its annual offers to Oxford and Cambridge now exceeding some of the most elite private schools in the country.

We may be biased, but A School Built on Ethos is an important, entertaining and thought-provoking new book – congratulations to Mr Handscombe on its publication!

The book is available to purchase via Crown House Publishing here
